This year’s anniversary party for PEAK6, was centered around the theme of TV show families. Held in a large helicopter hangar, there were different vignettes throughout the venue dedicated to a selection of TV shows centered around guest engagement tied into the theme. With over 1,200 guests for this 20th anniversary celebration, the entire venue was utilized to keep guests engaged and to house not one, but two surprise name entertainment performances that night.

The entrance into the venue was nothing less than extraordinary – the entrance was a luxuriously decorated tent with a Partridge Family party bus inside of it, with the nose of the bus inside the venue itself. The open concept of the entrance led guests through registration and into the party. The bus housed a carpool karaoke set up where guests were able to perform their favorite hits as if they were a part of the infamous hit television show.

The event décor completely transformed the helicopter hangar with two stages facing each other at opposite ends of the venue for both the headliner entertainment and the late night performance. Between the stages was a plethora of interactive activities for guests, food stations for each themed area and stunning lounge seating areas to tie the whole thing together.

There was a Friday Night Lights area with a real Astroturf field adorned with the PEAK6 logo at the end zones. Next to it was a Field Goal simulation activity where guest were able to compete to see who could kick the farthest field goal as they saw themselves simulated onto the plasmas. There were bleachers and picnic table seating next to the concessions area that had traditional concession choices with an updated twist.

The venue was also decked with a futuristic area centered on The Jetson’s that had a nitro ice cream station – a big hit with the guests. There was a huge installation of Moe’s Tavern from the Simpsons in the middle of the room with Simpson’s lounge seating that looked just like the Simpson’s living room set. There were also food stations and decor elements in the Game of Thrones area that included a 4-person joust for guests to face one another as the different Houses did in the show. LED Drones flew overhead serving small bites as well as capturing overhead shots from a GoPro. Modern Family was highlighted as the P6 Family of today. There was a plasma TV that featured a digital slideshow of photos of the employees from the past 20 years.

The Brady Bunch area brought everyone right back to the infamous show with nearly an exact replica of the backyard of the Brady home. There was a giant Guess Who Game backyard game, turf, vintage lawn furniture, a swing set, grill and a full buffet to make guests feel as if they were at a cook out. We also had a massive LED wall that projected P6 employee pictures in the infamous Brady Bunch grid.

The last vignette was of The Flintstones where we had a Bedrock Racetrack made out of giant rocks in the shape of a figure 8. We had Flintstones cars built for guests to race against one another in teams of two. There was a live video board that kept an on-going score of the fastest time.

As previously mentioned, we had two name entertainment acts for the evening. The headliner was legend Stevie Wonder who played all of the iconic hits including Superstition, Sir Duke, Isn’t She Lovely, Higher Ground & many more. The late night band was The Chainsmokers who delivered an incredible show with high-level special effects. Their hits included Closer, Something Just Like This, Don’t Let Me Down & many more.
